History Colorado Center
The History Colorado Center is a must-see for any traveler looking to get an understanding of America’s history in the west. It consists of entirely new exhibits that provide insights into how and why pioneers settled this region from their own unique perspective, with plenty more up there on display like photographs or artworks chronicling daily life back when Ancestral Puebloans lived here as well – all while telling you about some incredible discoveries made by archaeologists!
The International Church of Cannabis
A very unique and unusual place to visit in Denver is The International Church of Cannabis, just a short drive from downtown. Elevations use cannabis as their sacrament for self-discovery which they believe can be accelerated through its consumption by members like themselves – an elevation (person who elevates). Located at one point inside what was once Lutheran church before conversion into office space, this location acts not only serves spiritual needs but also provides social opportunities with potential fellow believers!
The church is a wonder to behold. The exquisite architecture of this centuries-old building has been beautifully preserved, but it’s the incredible interior decoration that really makes for an indelible memory and psychedelic sight: painted by world-famous artist Okuda San Miguel in glorious technicolor with geometric shapes adornings walls as well as ceiling pieces filledGraffiti inspired images people animals abound everywhere you look!
Coors Field
The Colorado Rockies are an interesting team to watch in the Major League Baseball league. They play at Coors Field where, as it has a capacity of over 50,000 people and is considered by many players and sportswriters alike to be “a hitter’s park due largely because its altitude,” games are always fun thanks for their electric atmosphere!
The stadium was first opened in 1995 and since then has grown to be one of Denver’s most iconic landmarks. The state-of-the-art facilities provide guests with fantastic views from their pitch, as well as opportunities for batting practice on-site or shopping at local souvenir stores before heading back into town if they so desire it!
16th Street Mall
16th Street is a mall for any occasion. Home to more than 300 shops and restaurants, it’s the perfect place to catch up with friends or spend an evening shopping in peace while watching street performers perform all around you!
The two-kilometer-long 16th Street stretches over one of Denver’s most popular attractions: Coors Field (home ballpark for baseball team The Rockies) as well as entertainment venues like Red Rocks Amphitheater.

The museum was founded in 1994 to preserve military aviation history dating back all the way from World War II up until the present day – not only does this include many planes but also interactive displays about space exploration or civilian craftsmanship too.
Union Station
Union Station is more than just Denver’s main transportation hub. The historic railway station is teeming with life and well worth visiting for those who aren’t traveling, even if they’re in town!
The exterior has an iconic ‘travel by train’ sign that tops its Beaux-arts facade; inside the spacious lobby area, there are luxurious leather sofas along with lanterns lining all sides of it–plus restaurants/bars to satiate your appetite or thirst while you wait on board (or arrive).
Larimer Square
Larimer Square is a designated historic district in Denver where old buildings house countless art galleries, shops and restaurants. The square was settled by the pioneer camp which slowly became its main business area over centuries. A century and half later Larimersquare remains heart-and soul for many people living there who come to enjoy what it has offer: visiting bars with entertainment or dining at one of many great eateries lining each side; enjoying some time off work during lunch hour!
Washington Park
Washington Park is a large, picturesque park that attracts locals and tourists alike with its appealing ambiance. There are many outdoor activities available for visitors: walking paths to stroll along; picnic areas where you can enjoy your meal while watching over flower gardens or lakes in the distance – all mere steps away from downtown! The historic homes hugging Washington’s edges also provide an interesting glimpse into what life here may have looked like back when this area was first developed more than 100 years ago (just take note if there happens to be No Tuk Tuks allowed).
Colorado State Capitol
The Colorado State Capitol is the most beautiful building in Denver and one you’ll never forget. Built on top of a small hill, this structure has an exterior made from materials sourced all across our great state! The dome sparkles with gold while also being modeled after America’s capital city – which makes sense because it houses both federal offices as well as state governments for Wyoming too (who was once part of New Mexico).
The interior of the capitol is coated in marble with portraits lining every hallway and stained glass windows. Visitors can enjoy their visit by viewing some fantastic views out over Denver from this impressive platform atop it!
Denver Zoo
The Denver Zoo is a fantastic place for the whole family to visit. You can see over 4,000 animals from all around nature in spacious enclosures that mimic their natural habitats! In addition, there are interesting exhibits wherever you look- my favorite being Elephant Passage where they have elephants galore and also some other really neat creatures like gorillas or bears adorning these spaces too. I recommend finding an overlook spot near Primate Panorama if your interest lies more closely up close with any one specific animal; then again who wouldn’t want unforgettable shots of lions rolling around roaring while watching sunsets?!

Molly Brown House Museum
The Molly Brown House Museum is an interesting insight into the life and times of this incredible woman. Despite being a philanthropist, theater performer and progressive activist she’s now most famous for having survived what would have been her destiny on board the Titanic had it not sunk with all aboard in 1912!
The impressive Queen Anne-style building that houses the exhibit of this woman’s life and achievements is also an art gallery. The exhibits are filled with artifacts from her time in Colorado, when she was fighting for women’s suffrage rights as well as other historic moments like aboard Titanic; it would be impossible not to have your mouthwatering by just looking at their beautiful architecture!
Denver Art Museum
Denver is a city of great museums and the Denver Art Museum is one that every visitor needs to see. It houses over 70,000 pieces in its collection from all around the world – including African or Asian artwork as well as Native American paintings, photos prints, etc., which you’ll be able to view here! The building itself boasts an unusual modern design with interesting galleries filled up with beautiful artworks likes never before seen on display anywhere else.
The Louvre Museum is home to some of the most renowned and innovative artwork in all of France. You’ll find works by artists such as Vincent van Gogh, Auguste Renoir, Winslow Homer on display here!
Denver Museum of Nature & Science
The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is a delightful place to visit, with ample activities and exhibits that are sure to put anyone in their element! From the natural history of Colorado as well other regions around America, you’ll be fascinated by everything on display. The permanent museum’s rooms cover it all from dinosaurs up through robots – there truly isn’t anything here your little ones can’t enjoy learning more about at this institution housing so much knowledge!
Mount Evans Scenic Byway
The Mount Evans Scenic Byway, known as the ‘road into the sky’ is a stunning stretch that takes you up to 4310 meters. With jaw-dropping mountainous views and stupendous scenery on this winding route, it’s no wonder why people love taking in all that Colorado has to offer!
The byway is a magnificent 45 kilometers long and gains 2,000 meters in elevation. It’s the perfect drive for scenic views with lovely lakes to stop at along the way! If you want it all to end here – there are some really incredible vistas waiting just below Mount Evans’ lofty summit that will take your breath away (and leave soiled too).
Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater
The Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater is one of the most renowned tourist attractions in Denver, which can be found just 20 minutes drive from downtown. It’s a stunning sandstone rock formation with outstanding outdoor acoustics that attracts big-name artists for their concerts here!
The amphitheater has long been a world-class venue with everyone from The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix to John Denver performing there. In addition to watching your favorite band perform live, visitors can also go hiking amidst the red rock formations or stop by the site’s Colorado Music Hall of Fame for more great music experiences!
Denver Botanic Gardens
The Denver Botanic Gardens are home to a myriad of plants and flowers, trees and shrubs. One of the largest botanical gardens in America with other scenic areas that can be found at both Chatfield Park or Mount Goliath as well!
